“Sweet-mouthed, this child— / a jukebox of fissures, built upon a mother’s wilting smile.”
Ashley Mo is a Chinese-American poet rooted in the Bay Area, and her work seeks to weave language into bridges across cultures and generations. Her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in The Shore, Gone Lawn, Roanoke Review, Blue Marble Review, Eunoia Review, and elsewhere. A finalist and representative for the Santa Clara County Youth Poet Laureate program, her voice has earned recognition from the Alliance for Young Artists, Princeton University, Columbia Granger, the city of Saratoga, and beyond. In her free time, she enjoys cafe hopping and playing golf.
