Chiwenite Onyekwelu is a Nigerian poet and essayist. His works appear in Adroit Journal, Chestnut Review, America Magazine, Gutter Magazine, Prairie Fire, Rough Cut, and elsewhere. In 2022, he was a runner-up for the Foley Poetry Prize, a runner-up for the Anita McAndrews Poetry Award, as well as a finalist for the Gregory Djanikian Scholars Program. He won the 2020 Jack Grapes Poetry Prize. He serves as Chief Editor for The School of Pharmacy Agulu, where he studies pharmacy and spends time in the lab.
