Kenneth Robert Chacón writes about God & Thug Life, the familiar story of gangs and drugs and grace and redemption. He teaches English at Fresno City College in Fresno, California and has had the pleasure to speak and share his work at prisons, graduations, rehabilitation centers, churches, welfare-to-work scholarship ceremonies, powwows, pachangas, youth conferences, and universities, in the U.S. as well as abroad. His book The Cholo Who Said Nothing & Other Poems was published in 2017 by Turning Point. His work has appeared in Cimmaron Review, Huizache, Poetry Quarterly, BorderSenses, The Colorado Review among others. Chacón is currently at work on a novel and second collection of poetry.
